Should We Invade Iraq

My Opinion

The invasion on Iraq could be a good idea for the war on terrorism. People may feel safer because of the invasion. In my opinion the invasion could be a bad plan because there will be many traps and the war will go on for a long time.

The Wars History
One of Iraq's wars took place when Iraq invaded Iran in1980 through 1988. Then the first and second persian gulf wars took place, These wars were similar to World War I. The similarity was the machine-gun post and barb wire that were used, the Iraq war also involved chemical weapons.

Criticisms and Costs
The U.S. rationale for the Iraq war has faced heavy criticism from many popular and official sources both inside and outside the United States. According to the Center for Public Integrity; President Bush’s administration made a total of 935 false statements between 2001 and 2003 about Iraq’s alleged threat to the United States. As the war has progressed, critics have also railed against the high human and financial costs.

The Invasion
The invasion killed the Iraq military, and captured Saddam Hussein in December, 2003. He also had his execution in December, 2006. Since then there has been many civil wars around Iraq. The civil war has caused more than 150,000 deaths. There were 36 million people across the globe that protested against the Iraq war. On 9/11 President George W.Bush blamed Osama Bin Laden for killing over 3,000 people by crashing planes into the World Trade Center and the Pentagon. About 50 percent of the U.S population thought that Iraq and Osama Bin Laden were responsible for 9/11.

The Results of the Iraq War?
I didn't think so, i thought it was a bad idea. Iraq is currently known for it's gulf wars, on 1991 there was an order from President Bush that would start the elimination of weapons of mass destruction produced in Iraq. With this order the Army led an invasion on March 20, 2003, this invasion would bea joint effort by the United States and it's allies against Iraq. This joint effort woulddestroy weapons of mass destruction and would topple Saddam Hussein's Dictatorship alongwith his terrorist army.
